Shannon Kavanagh: "To say that this challenge is everything would be a complete and total understatement. This challenge has taught me so much. Surgery is a wonderful tool, but it does nothing for your mind. Mindset is where all the problems lie, and this challenge teaches not only how to identify those problems, but how to change them. Living as an obese person, isn’t really living. I didn’t know how I got in my own way, nor did I know how to change. This challenge has taught me how to clear my head, how to call myself on my bullshit, how to be still and observe my thoughts, how to make better decisions and how to start participating in my life. Everything about my life has been up-leveled since starting this. I am happier, more connected to my husband, more engaged in my health and my weight loss, and just more engaged in my life.
